There are plenty of Bansko ski rental options in town and so if you are heading out to Bulgaria for a skiing trip then your toughest decision is which of the many Bansko ski rental shops to visit!
I have spoken to various people in Bansko to put together this guide to the best ski hire Bansko has to offer including input from expats with years of experience to recent visitors heading to the slopes of the Pirin Mountains here in Bansko for the first time.
I hope you find this guide useful when looking at ski snowboard hire and if you are heading out to the winter ski resort of Bansko then check out my other Bansko blogs below!
Tsakiris Ski Rental
Tsakiris Ski & Snowboard is the Bansko ski rental shop that we decided to hire our skis and boots from in the end and so I have no hesitation in recommending this fantastic ski shop in Bansko.
It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the gondola station too – so not too much walking in your boots with your skis!
Tsakiris has been operating in Bansko since 2008 and was set up by the Tsakiris Family who themselves have a rich and successful affiliation to the snow!
Athanassios Tsakiris is a Greek Olympian having competed for his native Greece at five separate winter Olympic games between 1988 and 2010.
His daughter, Panagiota Tsakiri competed at two games in 2006 and 2010. Altogether the family has represented their country 8 times at the Olympics and competed in more than 500 national and international ski races.
With that pedigree behind this Bansko shop you would expect a top-quality offering and that is exactly what you get from this excellent Bansko ski hire store.
From the friendly and welcoming staff with some of the best service in Bansko to the on-site repair and maintenance area, freshly waxed skis and an impressive range of skis, snowboards and boots, this is your one-stop ski shop for any visit to ski in Bansko.

There is also a range of different types of skis to cater for everyone; from specialist off-piste skis to world cup style carving skis for those who want more speed!
Ski boots are equally available in a huge range of sizes and styles and the team at Tsakiris will take care to ensure you have the perfect fitting boots when you arrive. Boots are dried overnight and treated with antibacterial sprays to keep them clean and fresh!
Depending on the range you choose, you can also change your skis or snowboard during your trip so you can change your equipment depending on the weather or the conditions if you wish!
For more information on the range of skis and boots available, take a look at the Tsakiris website.

Booking your Bansko Ski Rental at Tsakiris
You can head straight to Tsakiris Ski & Snowboard when you arrive to place a booking but I would recommend that you book online in advance to save time and money. They have their own online booking page on their website and you can save 15% if you book online. There is no pre-payment needed; just pay for your hire when you arrive.
If you book online, you can arrange your fitting for the evening before your first day of skiing in Bansko to save you time in the morning.
